The Iron Lady and her 90 votes

A lady, an Iron Lady at that, who spent 16 long years fasting so that she could get some change done for her community, finally decided to enter the political fray.

However, what Irom Sharmila failed to account for was how real life isn't as rosy as the social networks we live our virtual lives in.

And all she, and her party  Peoples’ Resurgence and Justice Alliance (PRJA), got for all her troubles was 90 votes! A bitter reminder of why we need to be aware of our 'social' realities!
