Animal Farm + Modi Raj = Modi Farm??
I finally ended up reading Animal Farm! The book would sum up most political dispensations around the globe, but I have to say its similarities with Modi's government are stark!
Be it attributing everything good to their beloved leader who is portrayed to be working hard throughout the day, blaming everything wrong on the past opposition, making people blindly believe that their hardships are for the future good, the sheep bleating support for their leader, violence as a means of subjugation, made-up numbers used to paint a pretty picture when the on-ground situation is worse than before, the right-wing websites which try their best to be modern-day Squealers, the renaming of places, suppressing any dissent by calling them anti-nationals and the construction of useless monuments being used to whip a public frenzy!
